Delete Your SideContacts Account & Data

SideContacts is developed by Akshaykumar Pawal. This page explains how to permanently delete your SideContacts account and the data associated with it.

How to request deletion

Option A — In the app (fastest):

Open SideContacts and go to Settings.
Under Privacy & Backup, tap Delete account & cloud data.
Confirm by typing "DELETE" when prompted.

Your account and cloud data are deleted immediately — no waiting period.

Option B — Without the app installed:

Email sidecontacts.app@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my account." We will delete your account and cloud data within 7 days and confirm by email.

What gets deleted

Your Firebase account (Google sign-in identity) — deleted immediately.
Your cloud backup (encrypted contacts stored in our Firestore database) — deleted immediately.
No retention period — once deletion completes, this data is not recoverable.

What is kept

Contacts stored locally on your device are not touched by account deletion, since they are local app data, not part of your cloud account. To remove them, uninstall the app or clear its data from Android Settings.
